Welcome to Albania!
The whole time James and I were planning this trip, we would tell everyone that we were going to Albania. And people would look confused and say, “Why?”
But I don’t think folks were actually picturing Albania when they asked us that. Because this is Albania.

The journey from Corfu, Greece to Ksamil, Albania consists of a ferry ride followed by a bus. Travel days are usually long, hot, and crowded, and this one was no exception.

But at the end, we were rewarded with our first glimpses of this absolutely gorgeous little resort town.

Ksamil is a seaside village full of seafood restaurants, trendy bars, and sun beds with little umbrellas. We thought that a rest day was in order, so we rented a bed for the day at “Bianco Lounge and Bar”, which features an infinity pool and views of the nearby islands.

James got these awesome candy-striped swim trunks and now he looks like his job is just… beach.
He is #Kenough.

We were surprised to learn that the sunbeds came with a bottle of prosecco. A very restful rest day!
