Kayaking Around the Bay of Kotor
Today was a stormy, windy day in the Bay of Kotor. Perfect for cuddling up with a good book a cup of tea.
Or, you could go kayaking.

We’ve had plenty of sunny days in Kotor when we could have done this activity instead (and probably should have). But that would not have resulted in epic fog photos!

We rented this (surprisingly high-quality) tandem from a waterfront restaurant, and started off paddling toward the opening of the bay. But, we soon realized that the heavy winds were moving us very, very quickly away from the town. So, we turned around and fought our way back toward the harbor.

Today was one of the rare days in Kotor in which no cruise ships arrived. Here you can see the spot where they would normally dock.

And here is a picture of James and I working equally hard. James, paddling in earnest against the current so we don’t drift out to sea, and me taking pictures of James.

One nice thing about Kotor though is that this is a well-protected bay. With better weather, you could probably take one of these really far along the coast.

I just love this shot.
